Bulluck prefers Young

The Nashville Tennessean reports Titans LB Keith Bulluck likes rookie QB Vince Young’s energy, so much that he’d like to see it on the football field as the team’s starter. Bulluck said so during a Sirius radio interview this week, when asked the team’s situation at quarterback. “I just have to be honest and say I’d rather just go ahead and go with Vince,’’ Bulluck said. “Kerry Collins has the experience and he’s played a lot of football in this league, but Vince is hungry. He has that drive that will definitely inspire a lot of people on his side of the ball. Of course he’ll make mistakes because he is a rookie, but if we’re losing we might as well go with the future.” Read more

Panthers sign Droege to practice squad

The Charlotte Observer reports the Panthers added OL Rob Droege to the practice squad Wednesday. They also worked out defensive backs Deke Cooper, Donte Nicholson, Michael Hawkins and Lance Schulters, OT Pete McMahon and TE Matt Kranchick on Tuesday. The Panthers also released DB Marcus Cassel from the injured list. Read more

Vikings sign Henson to practice squad

The Pioneer Press reports once considered the future franchise quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys, Drew Henson accepted a far more modest role Wednesday with the Vikings. While rookie QB Tarvaris Jackson recovers from minor knee surgery, Henson joined the Vikings' practice squad to ease the burden on starter Brad Johnson and backup Brooks Bollinger. Read more

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports still looking for the right combination in their running game, the Green Bay Packers quietly made a move that could signal a changing of the guard. On Wednesday, the Packers promoted practice squad FB Brandon Miree to the 53-man roster and appear ready to get him on the field right away, possibly in the starting position FB William Henderson has held for the last 10 seasons.
