Houston Texans 03/05/2008 11:39 AMThe Houston Chronicle reports while they were entertaining Atlanta FS Chris Crocker and Tampa Bay C John Wade on Tuesday, the Texans reached an agreement on a two-year contract with FS Will Demps. Demps, 28, started eight games last season and played well down the stretch, helping the Texans finish 8-8 for the first time. Meanwhile, the Texans are still interested in free-agent RB Warrick Dunn, but they don't have a visit lined up with him.Read more
Oakland Raiders 03/05/2008 11:32 AMESPN.com reports WR Javon Walker, released by the Denver Broncos on Friday, agreed to a deal with the division-rival Oakland Raiders on Tuesday, a source told ESPN.com's Michael Smith. The terms of the deal call for Walker to receive a six-year, $55 million contract that includes more than $16 million in guarantees and pays him roughly $27 million over the first three years of the deal. St. Louis Rams 03/04/2008 5:28 PMAP reports the St. Louis Rams have begun rebuilding their offensive line, signing free agent OG Jacob Bell to a six-year contract. The 6-foot-4, 295-pound Bell, signed Monday, played for the Titans the last four seasons after being a fourth-round draft pick of the Titans in 2004. He has started 31 games the last two seasons, settling in at left guard last season. He has 46 career starts and played in 55 games in four seasons.Read more
