Dunn signs with Buccaneers

ESPN’s Pat Yasinskas reports the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are bringing back one of the most popular players in franchise history, signing free agent RB Warrick Dunn on Monday night. Dunn was drafted in the first round by Tampa Bay in 1997 and was the team's feature back until he left for Atlanta in 2002. He remains third on the team's all-time rushing list with 4,200 yards. The Bucs initially let Dunn go because of concerns about salary-cap space and his durability. Read more

Green checks out OK, considers Rams' offer

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports QB Trent Green completed his free-agent visit to St. Louis on Thursday, and left town without a Rams contract. But the team still hopes to have Green under contract by the end of the weekend. According to Green's St. Louis-based agent, Jim Steiner, the Vianney High product and former Ram wants a couple of days to mull things over before deciding where he will play in 2008. Read more

Steelers sign LB Andre Frazier

The Post-Gazette reports the Steelers signed another free agent today, one of their own, LB Andre Frazier. Frazier received a one-year contract for an undisclosed amount of money. The Steelers declined to tender him a one-year, $927,000 tender as a restricted free agent last week, which made him an unrestricted free agent. Read more

Ricky thinks Dolphins want him to play

The Palm Beach Post reports the Dolphins have been coy about their plans for RB Ricky Williams. Do they want the eccentric running back? Will they trade him? Football operations boss Bill Parcells, General Manager Jeff Ireland and coach Tony Sparano all have been asked about Williams. All have been noncommittal publicly. Williams, however, is under the impression that he'll be a factor in the Dolphins' backfield. Parcells told him after last season "he wanted me and that he really believed in me," Williams said on Dan Patrick's satellite-radio show. Read more
