A done deal with Seubert

The Star-Ledger reports left OG Rich Seubert will stay with the Giants through the 2012 season. At least that's the plan after Seubert and the team agreed to a three-year contract extension, which was officially announced today. Financial terms were not disclosed. Seubert was a full-time starter this past season for the first time since breaking three bones in his right leg during the 2003 season. Read more

Niners re-sign Strickland to one-year deal

ESPN’s John Clayton reports the 49ers maintained their cornerback depth Friday by reaching a one-year, $800,000 deal with CB Donald Strickland. The 27-year-old Strickland, a former third-round choice of the Colts, will be entering his third season with the 49ers. He started seven games over the past two years in San Francisco. He spent three years in Indianapolis, one year in Philadelphia and three seasons with the 49ers. Read more

Browns agree to terms with LB Orr

AP reports the Cleveland Browns have agreed to terms with free-agent LB Shantee Orr on a one-year contract. Orr played for Houston and Jacksonville last season. The 6-foot-1, 246-pounder will give the Browns depth and fill the spot opened when outside LB Chaun Thompson signed a two-year contract last week with the Houston Texans. Read more

Bills’ CB search includes Raiders’ Carr

The Buffalo News reports the Buffalo Bills were on the search for more cornerback depth Thursday. The team entertained restricted free-agent CB Chris Carr of Oakland at One Bills Drive. Carr, who turns 25 next month, was the Raiders’ fourth cornerback last season and also handled kickoff and punt returns. A 5-foot-9, 183-pounder, he was undrafted out of Boise State in 2005. Read more
