Dallas Cowboys 03/26/2008 10:16 AMThe Dallas Morning News reports the Dallas Cowboys have scheduled Arkansas RB Felix Jones, Indiana WR James Hardy and Indiana CB Tracy Porter for three of the 30 visits allotted to the team. They are expected to arrive at Valley Ranch on April 16, according to the office of agent Eugene Parker. Jones is a likely first-round draft choice, while Hardy and Porter are expected to go in the second round.Read more
Detroit Lions 03/26/2008 10:06 AMThe Detroit Free Press reports as rumors swirled that the Lions might trade WR Roy Williams, coach Rod Marinelli called Williams and told him not to believe them. Marinelli told Williams he was going to stay in Detroit and have the best year of his career. But Williams doesn't seem worried -- not about the possibility of being traded, not about entering the last year of his contract. He knows he needs to work harder, but he figures everything will take care of itself. Asked Tuesday about the trade talk, Williams repeated it was the nature of the business.Read more
Pittsburgh Steelers 03/26/2008 9:59 AMThe Post-Gazette reports the Steelers came to another contract agreement with one of their own players yesterday when long-snapper Greg Warren reached terms on a three-year contract. He will receive $2.3 million, including a signing bonus of $395,000. Warren made the Steelers as an undrafted rookie in 2005 and has been their long snapper since. He became a restricted free agent Feb. 29. Yesterday, the Steelers entertained another veteran free agent and three college prospects. DT Anthony "Booger" McFarland, released last month by the Indianapolis Colts when he failed their physical, came to a contract agreement with the Steelers last night after meeting with team officials and taking a physical earlier in the day. He is a defensive lineman who is 6 feet, 300 pounds. He spent all last season on injured reserve with a knee injury. The Colts acquired McFarland in a trade with Tampa Bay in October 2006 for a second-round draft choice.Read more
Minnesota Vikings 03/26/2008 9:57 AMThe Pioneer Press reports the Vikings re-signed their lone restricted free agent Tuesday and added depth at cornerback. LB Heath Farwell, who led the team with a career-high 32 special-teams tackles last season, signed his one-year, $1.4 million tender and said he and the Vikings would continue discussions on a long-term deal.Read more
