New Falcons coach Mike Smith, and his overhauled coaching staff, will see Redman in person, beginning Monday at a three-day mini-camp. Then again, it's April and Shockey doesn't usually arrive in East Rutherford until late May. Dallas Cowboys 04/12/2008 9:31 AMThe Dallas Morning News reports Pacman Jones will apply for reinstatement to the NFL on Tuesday, according to his lawyer, Manny Arora. Jones' first request for reinstatement, last year, was denied after a face-to-face meeting in New York with commissioner Roger Goodell. The NFL Players Association appealed the decision, but Jones remained suspended for the year. Goodell, who will be in Dallas next week for the SMU Athletic Forum, has said he would make a decision on Jones' future by the time training camp begins in July. Arora is hoping Goodell would act sooner, which could heat up trade talks between Tennessee and Cowboys.Read more
Atlanta Falcons 04/12/2008 9:27 AMThe Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports Troy CB Leodis McKelvin, the top prospect from the state of Georgia in the 2008 NFL draft, spent the weekend visiting the Falcons. McKelvin came to town Thursday, had meetings set for Friday and was to participate in a workout Saturday. The Falcons traded their top cornerback, DeAngelo Hall, and must address the position during the draft, April 26-27 in New York.Read more
