Haynesworth hopes Titans pick receiver

The Nashville Tennessean reports six weeks later, DT Albert Haynesworth still isn't satisfied. The outspoken All Pro defensive tackle, who earlier this offseason was critical of the Titans for their slow-moving approach to free agency, now has an updated wish list for the front office to consider, beginning with this weekend's NFL Draft. He wants the Titans to use their first-round pick on Oklahoma receiver Malcolm Kelly, says they should trade for disgruntled Bengals receiver Chad Johnson and go find a running back with serious speed. The Indianapolis Star reports the Indianapolis Colts' three remaining restricted free agents have re-signed with the team. G Dylan Gandy, TE Bryan Fletcher and DT Darrell Reid signed one-year, $927,000 tenders they were issued earlier this year. Read more

Security delayed Starks' decision

The Post-Gazette reports one of the many mysteries in the case of OT Max Starks and the Steelers is why he did not sign his one-year contract tender as a transition player. Starks unsuccessfully sought a meaningful contract offer from another team for the past seven weeks since free agency began. All the while, the Steelers had a one-year offer on the table to him for $6,895,000. That's more than Starks made in his previous four seasons combined and would make him the second-highest paid player on the team in 2008. Read more

All lined up: Long's contract nearly set

The Palm Beach Post reports the Dolphins don't have to make the No. 1 pick until 10 minutes after the NFL Draft begins Saturday, but it appears that they won't have to wait that long to get the player they want - Michigan OT Jake Long. Negotiations between the Dolphins and Long's agent, Tom Condon, have reached the point that a contract could be announced any day, an NFL source told The Palm Beach Post on Monday. Read more
