Cincinnati Bengals 05/14/2008 10:05 PMThe Dayton Daily News reports RB Chris Perry's first practice in 18 months drew rave reviews at Paul Brown Stadium on Tuesday, May 13. The 6-foot, 224-pounder ran hard, cut sharply and showed good burst and acceleration. That was the entree. Then he tossed in a pair of one-handed catches for dessert. Finally, the Cincinnati Bengals' fifth-year tailback is fully recovered from the devastating injury suffered at Cleveland on Nov. 26, 2006, when he fractured and dislocated his right ankle. St. Louis Rams 05/14/2008 9:54 PMThe St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports seeking camaraderie and cohesion among his troops — plus a desire to do things differently from last year, when the Rams slumped to 3-13 and the bottom of the NFC West standings — coach Scott Linehan decided a few months ago that the team would hold training camp out of town. The question became: where? Club officials considered returning to Western Illinois University in Macomb, site of training camp from 1996 to 2004. They also looked at several sites in Wisconsin, with the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater emerging as a finalist. Although the club is delaying an official announcement until details are complete, it has decided on Concordia University in Mequon, Wis. Players tentatively are scheduled to report July 24, with the first practice scheduled for the next day. Camp will run through mid-August, breaking just before the Rams' first home preseason game, Aug. 16 vs. San Diego.Read more
Tampa Bay Buccaneers 05/14/2008 9:50 PMThe Tampa Tribune reports the Rays aren't the only professional sports team in the Bay area with an attendance problem. The Bucs have one as well. RB Earnest Graham has not attended an offseason workout, and now QB Jeff Garcia is strongly suggesting he might stop attending workouts if the Bucs don't meet his request for a contract extension. "There might come a time when I might have to stand up," Garcia said Tuesday from One Buc Place, where the team is holding another round of voluntary workouts this week. "I hate to do that - to jeopardize my teammates - because they're out here and I don't want to let them down in any sort of way. But at some point you just want to see the respect from up top be given."Read more
