Under terms of the suspension, Thurman will be out of football for his third consecutive season for violations of the NFL's Substance Abuse Policy. Oakland Raiders 06/06/2008 9:32 PMESPN’s John Clayton reports RB Darren McFadden signed a six-year, $60 million agreement with the Oakland Raiders that includes $26 million guaranteed. "I'm very happy to have it out of the way," McFadden said at Friday a news conference. "Because like coach said, I want to be in training camp. I want to be out there practicing and learning plays. Houston Texans 06/03/2008 3:04 PMAP reports the Houston Texans have given GM Rick Smith a four-year contract extension, keeping him with the team at least through 2012. Smith was hired in 2006 and is the second general manager in Texans history. He spent 10 years with coach Gary Kubiak while Kubiak was offensive coordinator of the Denver Broncos. Terms of the deal, which was announced by team owner Bob McNair, were not released Tuesday.Read more
