Chad Johnson to have surgery on ankles

The Dayton Daily News reports Cincinnati Bengals WR Chad Johnson is scheduled to have arthroscopic surgery on both ankles today, June 18, that he's been needing since last season, a source close to the player confirmed on Tuesday, according to John Clayton of ESPN.com. Johnson's ankle problem was the subject of an all-day distraction last Thursday at the Bengals minicamp. Johnson told the team he couldn't practice because of the injury. Eagles agree to terms with draft picks

The Philadelphia Eagles have agreed to terms with 2008 draft picks CB Jack Ikegwuonu, LB Joe Mays, and T King Dunlap, each on four-year contracts. Seven of the Eagles ten 2008 draft picks have now signed with the team. Read more

Texans to sign LB Colvin, hoping to boost pass rush

ESPN.com reports free-agent LB Rosevelt Colvin has agreed to sign with the Texans, Houston media reported Monday. Colvin, who played for the Patriots for five seasons in which he won two Super Bowls, visited the Texans earlier this month and passed a physical. He was hampered last season with a foot injury, playing 11 games with four sacks, before his release. Read more

Agent for Boldin, Dockett stops by

The Arizona Republic reports Drew Rosenhaus, the agent for WR Anquan Boldin and DL Darnell Dockett, dropped by the team's Tempe training facility Monday amid rumors that something might be cooking regarding possible contract talks for the two disgruntled players. There probably was more smoke than fire, however, on that front. Both Boldin and Dockett are under contract and expected to report to training camp next month despite reportedly being unsatisfied with their present deals. Read more
