BigCProfootball.com has learned that the San Francisco 49ers have agreed to terms on a 4-year contract with seventh-round draft pick LB Larry Grant. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The 6-foot-1, 232-pound Grant played in the shadow of linebackers Marcus Freeman and James Laurinaitis while playing at Ohio State, but didn’t go unnoticed with the San Francisco 49ers. The strong-side backer finished the season fifth on the team in tackles with 51 and tied for second in sacks with five for the Buckeyes. Grant a strong player with good speed and outstanding athletic ability. The 49ers coaching staff loves his versatility and work ethic. Grant is the second draft pick to come to terms with the club.
