Detroit Lions
09/16/2008 8:46 AM
The Detroit Free Press reports he kept his sense of humor. But WR Roy Williams made it clear Monday that, because the Lions are losing, he is not happy with how often he is thrown the ball nor the role of No. 2 receiver. "I feel that if I'm not involved in the game and we lose, I'm (ticked) off," Williams said. "But if I'm not involved and we win, hey, it's a great job. And I've been like that since I've been here. The Bucs weren't saying Monday just how serious Galloway's latest injury is, but that Bucs coach Jon Gruden didn't dismiss it and say Galloway will be ready to play against Chicago is an indication the Bucs may have to play the Bears without their top deep threat. Green Bay Packers
09/13/2008 9:43 AM
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports the Green Bay Packers might have to defend the Detroit Lions' exceptional corps of wide receivers Sunday without their best cornerback. Charles Woodson missed another day of practice Friday with a fractured toe and the team is set to start Tramon Williams if he can't go. "I want to give him all the way up till noon Sunday to see if he can play," HC Mike McCarthy said. "It's just a concern because you're playing on FieldTurf. You'd like to be on grass." Read more
