Roy Williams hasn't give trade much thought

Detroit Lions
10/04/2008 9:56 AM
The Detroit Free Press reports WR Roy Williams was speechless for a few moments Friday when a reporter asked him if he thought this might be his last game at Ford Field as a Lion. The NFL trade deadline is 4 p.m. Oct. 14, and the Lions' next home game is Oct. 26. As the deadline nears, rampant speculation about the wide receiver's future in Detroit has provided plenty of grist for the sports-talk radio mill. "You know what, I never thought about that until you just said it," said Williams, who returned to practice after missing a day with a sore knee. "But I don't think this will be my last home game here at Ford Field. Hope it's not. You never know. Somebody has to make a business decision." Read more

Fantasy tips: Jones-Drew's stock is up, Palmer's down

Baltimore Ravens

The Dayton Daily News reports facing the Indianapolis Colts in Week 3 could be just what the doctor ordered for Jacksonville Jaguars RB Maurice Jones-Drew to jump-start his season. Baby Hercules has carried the ball only 12 times for 30 yards and a touchdown this season. So, why are the Colts a potential cure for the running back's low output? In four games against them, Jones-Drew has gashed the Colts for 848 all-propose yards and six touchdowns using his bank-robber speed and versatility. I look for him to add to those totals on Sunday. The Colts defense will be without starting safety Bob Sanders, who is out with an ankle injury and could be sidelined four-to-six weeks. This is a different defense when Sanders is not in the lineup. Browns' Edwards questionable for Sunday

Cleveland Browns
09/19/2008 11:21 PM
AP reports Browns WR Braylon Edwards was limited in practice Friday and listed as questionable for Sunday's game at Baltimore. Edwards, who has had a rough start to the season with five drops for the 0-2 Browns, is dealing with an injured shoulder. It's likely the Browns will be without guard Eric Steinbach, who strained his shoulder in last Sunday's loss to Pittsburgh, and linebacker Willie McGinest (hamstring). Both missed their third straight day of practice Friday. WR Donte' Stallworth (quadriceps), who has yet to play in a game for Cleveland, missed practice again and is questionable. Read more
