Indianapolis Colts 10/06/2008 1:18 PMThe Indianapolis Star reports WR Anthony Gonzalez and CB Kelvin Hayden each left the game in the second half with injuries and did not return. Head Coach Tony Dungy was unable to elaborate on what type of injury sidelined Gonzalez -- he spent the fourth quarter on the bench -- while Hayden had his left knee wrapped. Dungy said Hayden apparently suffered his injury when he stepped in one of the divisions between the sections of grass. Tim Jennings replaced Hayden.Read more
Cincinnati Bengals 10/06/2008 1:12 PMThe Star-Telegram reports WR Chad Ocho Cinco, formerly known as Chad Johnson, did not get his chance to express his affection for the Dallas Cowboys’ star, as he promised if he caught a touchdown pass. But he did express affection for the Cowboys, who reportedly tried to acquire him in the off-season. "I enjoyed myself today," Cincinnati’s controversial receiver said. "I got a chance to see how their organization works and the things they do.... I had fun today. I like Dallas. The star is so cool."Read more
Detroit Lions 10/06/2008 1:02 PMThe Detroit Free Press reports the Roy Williams trade talk heated up Sunday at Ford Field. But the Lions receiver was the only one who heard it during a frustrating game in which Williams, quarterback Jon Kitna and the entire offense seemed out of sync. Williams said it came from fans sitting behind the Lions' sideline during the 34-7 loss to Chicago. "You didn't hear any 'Fire Millen' chants," he said. "You heard 'Trade Roy Williams' chants." The NFL trading deadline is 4 p.m. Oct. 14, and speculation of Williams' departure is nearing a fever pitch. Officially, the Lions said Sunday there has been no discussion about trading Williams. Coach Rod Marinelli said there has been no internal talk about trading Williams. Executive vice president Tom Lewand said the Lions are not talking to any teams about trading Williams -- but that they would listen to offers, as they would for any player.Read more
Buffalo Bills 10/06/2008 12:57 PMThe Buffalo News reports the Buffalo Bills lost more than a game Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals. They also lost their offensive leader. Just three snaps into the game, quarterback Trent Edwards’ day ended when he was nailed by Cardinals safety Adrian Wilson, who was unaccounted for on a blitz from the right side of the Bills’ line. Edwards fell hard to the turf and the impact of the blow left him with a concussion. He was on his back for several minutes before being helped off the field by the Bills’ training staff.Read more
