AP reports the seats are dark green instead of mustard yellow. The home team wears full stripes instead of a half-adorned helmet. Otherwise, Paul Brown Stadium feels awfully homey for the Pittsburgh Steelers. They've won 10 of their last 11 at the stadium along the Ohio River — about 300 miles downstream from their own field where the river is formed. AP reports Jerome Simpson's deactivation Sunday cost him a chance to help the Minnesota Vikings against the Washington Redskins. It also cost the receiver a pretty good chunk of change. 
ESPN.com reports Joe Banner helped transform the Philadelphia Eagles into an NFL power. He's got another huge challenge -- making the Cleveland Browns a consistent winner. Banner was introduced Wednesday as CEO of the Browns, joining new owner Jimmy Haslam III in trying to turn around a franchise stuck in an almost continuous cycle of losing.
