RB Cadillac Williams (back spasms) is now listed as probable for Sunday's key NFC South matchup at Atlanta. Left CB Brian Kelly (sore foot) also has been added to an extensive injury list as the Bucs seek to avoid their third 0-2 start since 1998. Williams, who carried only eight times for 22 yards against the Ravens in a 27-0 setback Sunday, didn't practice Thursday and was not made available to the media.Read more
Carolina Panthers 09/15/2006 8:05 AMThe Charlotte Observer reports the good news is the Carolina Panthers injury report didn't get any worse Thursday. The bad news is it didn't get any better. WR Steve Smith (hamstring) and C Justin Hartwig (groin) remained questionable and did not practice Thursday. Smith could miss his second straight game Sunday when the Panthers play at Minnesota and not having a healthy Hartwig could force even more shuffling on the offensive line.Read more
Washington Redskins 09/15/2006 8:02 AMThe Washington Post reports RB Clinton Portis said his shoulder remains sore and he is taking it easy in practice this week, but is prepared to carry a heavy load against Dallas on Sunday night. Portis was again held out of practice yesterday after missing almost the entire preseason with a partially dislocated left shoulder, and has yet to renew his weekly costumed news conferences -- although he hinted those could return shortly.Read more
Miami Dolphins 09/15/2006 7:59 AMThe Palm Beach Post reports Dolphins DT Dan Wilkinson missed his third consecutive day of practice Thursday because he is defending himself in a civil suit being heard in a U.S. District Court in Baltimore, according to a source and court records. The suit alleges that he didn't fulfill terms of a lease to build a restaurant in Largo, Md. The suit, filed by Capital Centre LLC in January 2004, also alleges that he was deceptive in obtaining the lease. The suit seeks $31.5 million in damages.Read more
