The Dayton Daily News reports a missing ingredient in the Bengals' offensive arsenal is back. WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh, who missed the first two games with a bruised heel, practiced on Friday and was upgraded to probable for Sunday's game at Pittsburgh. "I can play," Houshmandzadeh said. Rams DE Hargrove still a no-show

AP reports DE Anthony Hargrove's unexcused two-day absence remained a mystery on Friday for the St. Louis Rams. The only certainty is that the defensive end will not be on the field this weekend. HC Scott Linehan said Hargrove had not been suspended, but would be fined. Rookie Victor Adeyanju will replace him in the lineup for Sunday's game at Arizona and Brandon Green, inactive the first two games, will be the backup at right end. Read more

Special teams a bright spot for Browns

Cleveland Browns.com reports Cleveland’s kickoff coverage has been more than impressive through two games this season. The Browns lead the league in opponent’s average starting field position with a 17.7 mark. With seven kickoffs, Browns K Phil Dawson leads the AFC with three touchbacks and the kickoff coverage has held opponents to two starting drives inside the 20-yard line. HC Romeo Crennel on special teams – “Special teams can help you win games and our special teams unit did a good job (against Cincinnati). They gave us some field position and if we can improve in other areas of the team, it will be a big help for us.” Browns P Dave Zastudil is already averaging five more yards per punt than last year’s season total of 40.4 yards. He has pinned three punts inside the 20-yard line and recorded a 56-yard punt, the longest of the season, against the New Orleans Saints in Week 1. Read more
