Bengals' Johnson taunts Hall
Atlanta Falcons10/26/2006 9:24 AM The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports the loquacious Bengals receiver said that if Falcons CB DeAngelo Hall â "DeAngelo Fall," according to Johnson â gets the best of him and Atlanta wins Sunday's game in Cincinnati, he will shave off his blond Mohawk. "You know how much that Mohawk means to me right now," WR Chad Johnson said in a conference call Wednesday. Surprisingly, the equally boisterous Hall, who has engaged in months of good-natured verbal jousting with Johnson since both played in the Pro Bowl last February, declined to engage in a war of words. Seattle Seahawks10/26/2006 9:14 AM The Seattle Times reports in the wake of another game in which the secondary surrendered a long pass for a touchdown, HC Mike Holmgren announced Wednesday that Jordan Babineaux will take over for Michael Boulware as the starting strong safety beginning Sunday at Kansas City. Safeties are interchangeable in the Seahawks' defense from play to play, but Boulware was the strong safety on the team's depth chart. Read more
Bengals seem in no rush to sign Warrick
Cincinnati Bengals10/26/2006 9:10 AM The Dayton Daily News reports WR Peter Warrick and former LSU DT Chad Lavalais worked out for the Bengals on Tuesday. Neither was signed. "The workout was fine," HC Marvin Lewis said on Wednesday. "Whether we sign him or not is my business, right? We didn't bring Peter in to necessarily sign him this week." Just call Warrick, who was waived by Seattle, an insurance policy. Read more
