In the second game this season, Lewis suffered a bad sprain of the medial collateral ligament. Lewis had started as the Lions' strong-side linebacker against Chicago, just has he had done in the opener against Seattle. In the fourth play against the Bears, as Lewis tried to overpower an offensive lineman, he was struck by a teammate.Read more
Pittsburgh Steelers 11/01/2006 8:17 AMThe Post-Gazette reports the Steelers acquired two players yesterday to replace RB Verron Haynes and LB Arnold Harrison, who were placed on injured reserve with torn anterior cruciate knee ligaments. The team claimed veteran LB Marquis Cooper off waivers from the Minnesota Vikings and signed RB John Kuhn from their practice squad.Read more

Maybe the question was rhetorical, because everyone else seems to know the answer. The question the Cardinals should be asking is not how they got into this mess. That's obvious: The offense has produced only sporadically, the defense has taken unscheduled time off, the special teams have been anything but, and Green has provided little direction.Read more
