Harrison breaks record

The Indianapolis Star reports WR Marvin Harrison continued to add his name to the Colts' record book. His 5-yard touchdown catch in the first quarter was the 114th of his career. That broke Lenny Moore's club record for overall touchdowns. Harrison finished with eight receptions for 145 yards and two touchdowns. His 115 career TDs rank No. 8 in NFL history. Read more

Kitna fights back after Hall's shot

The Detroit Free Press reports the Lions have lost a lot lately. But they keep scrambling, they aren't going to take any cheap shots, and they won't go down without a fight. QB Jon Kitna proved that in the third quarter of Sunday's 30-14 victory over Atlanta. On third-and-13, he ran up the field for 17 yards and started to slide. He was hit on the left side of the helmet by CB DeAngelo Hall. Kitna rolled over and jumped on LB Michael Boley, who had been on his back, and a scuffle ensued. Read more

Mathis doing well after neck injury

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports Falcons safety and starting nickel back Kevin Mathis remained hospitalized for observation in an area hospital Sunday following a neck injury he suffered on the opening kickoff of Detroit's 30-14 victory over Atlanta. CB Allen Rossum remained with Mathis in Detroit. Team officials said Mathis was doing well and had sensation through his body and was able to move his limbs. No prognosis was disclosed, and Mathis' return to Atlanta had not been determined. Read more
