A personal-foul penalty was called after Kitna slid feet first to the ground at the end of a 17-yard run. "I don't ever want to turn it into a black-white issue," Lewis told ESPN. "But it would really puzzle me, seriously, if anybody would ever tell Brett Favre ... if anybody would ever tell Peyton Manning not to walk into the Indianapolis facility. San Francisco 49ers 11/11/2006 7:48 AMAP reports Hall of Fame football HC Bill Walsh, who built an NFL dynasty with the San Francisco 49ers and revolutionized the sport with his West Coast offense, disclosed that he has leukemia. School officials confirmed Friday that Walsh, who served as the school's interim athletic director until July, is fighting leukemia. "I'm positive, but not evangelistic," the 74-year-old Walsh told the Santa Rosa Press Democrat and The Sports Xchange Web sites. "I'm pragmatically doing everything my physicians recommend, and I'm working my way through it." Walsh said the cancer first was diagnosed in 2004, but he feels better since a series of blood transfusions in the past month.Read more
Tennessee Titans 11/11/2006 7:48 AMThe Nashville Tennessean reports the Titans are prepared to welcome back DT Albert Haynesworth on Monday as long as the team's medical staff is satisfied the veteran defensive tackle has taken sufficient steps to curb his anger issues. The NFL suspended Haynesworth for five games after he stepped on Cowboys C Andre Gurode's helmet-less face during an Oct. 1 game at LP Field. The suspension, which lasted six weeks because it included the team's bye weekend, officially ends on Monday.Read more
