Brown returns to practice

The Trenton Times reports WR Reggie Brown returned to work at the NovaCare Complex yesterday after missing practice Wednesday with a hamstring injury suffered Sunday against the Redskins. Brown, along with LB Shawn Barber (neck), LB Matt McCoy (abdomen) and RB Brian Westbrook (knee), all are listed as probable. Read more

Daunte: No return until knee fully heals

The Palm Beach Post reports despite logging little practice time since being benched Oct. 8, Dolphins QB Daunte Culpepper said Thursday he would be "disappointed" if he couldn't play again this season but conceded that he might not return until 2007. "Me being the positive person I am, of course I want to" play this year, Culpepper said in his first public comments since Oct. 11. "But I'm going to be very smart about it, we're going to be very smart about it as a team, and do what's best for me. "But I will get better and I will be the player I want to be." Read more

Lewis unlikely to play

The Baltimore Sun reports LB Ray Lewis underwent surgery to have blood drained from his back Wednesday, which presumably will keep him out of Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons. Although the Ravens have not ruled him out - they still list him as questionable - they don't seem optimistic that he will be able to return in time to face the NFL's top rushing offense. Read more

Jimmy Williams sued by lawyer

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports the Virginian-Pilot newspaper reported Thursday that Falcons rookie CB Jimmy Williams has had a lawsuit filed against him in Norfolk (Va.) Circuit Court seeking repayment of money and goods he received from a Norfolk laywer while at Virginia Tech. The paper reported that the lawyer, Carl C. La Mondue, is seeking $55,109 from Williams and his father, including $8,700 in merchanside, including clothing, phone service hotel rooms and $310 for a tattoo. The remaining $46,000 was given in cash, the paper reported. Read more
