Washington Redskins
11/18/2006 8:18 AM
The Washington Post reports Redskins WR Santana Moss will miss tomorrow's game at Tampa Bay with a left hamstring injury that kept him out of practice this week. Moss suffered the injury Oct. 22 at Indianapolis, and even though the Redskins had a bye week following that game, Moss did not play in the Redskins' 22-19 victory over Dallas on Nov. 5. In Sunday's 27-3 loss at Philadelphia, Moss clearly was not himself, catching three balls for 17 yards. "I'm on the same program. I didn't do anything all week," Moss said. "I didn't make it worse, but it's not getting any better. I like to be myself, and I don't want to be out there if I'm not myself." For Moss to declare himself out against Tampa Bay is nothing if not uncharacteristic. Read more

Today, the Titans will release a player to make room for Haynesworth on their 53-man roster. Titans HC Jeff Fisher said on Friday he's satisfied with Haynesworth's work on the practice field. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports QB Brett Favre might be at less than full strength Sunday when the Green Bay Packers meet the New England Patriots at Lambeau Field. HC Mike McCarthy disclosed that Favre had suffered a groin injury Thursday during practice, an injury that the coach said "really bothered" Favre as he took some but not all of the repetitions with the No. 1 offense Friday. Favre had been listed as probable on the injury report with an ankle injury. The Packers now list him as probable with ankle and groin injuries. Read more
