The Palm Beach Post reports Atlanta Falcons QB Michael Vick said the people who know him realize that Sunday's incident — in which he made obscene gestures toward fans after a home loss to New Orleans — was out of character. But Dolphins WR Marcus Vick said he wasn't surprised by his brother's actions. "Not at all," he said. "I know he's very frustrated and when that happens, things like that can happen. The Baltimore Sun reports right OG Keydrick Vincent and TE Daniel Wilcox returned to Ravens practice yesterday, and both players appear to be preparing to play in tomorrow night's game against the Cincinnati Bengals. HC Brian Billick remained positive about both players, who are listed as questionable for tomorrow night. "Both are progressing well," he said. "I'm fairly optimistic." Read more

Instead of turning the corner, the Bengals and Baltimore Ravens collide in a crucial game at Paul Brown Stadium at 8 p.m. Thursday. "I can't really say it's difficult," Bengals DT Shaun Smith said. "If you want to make it to the playoffs, you've got to sacrifice, suck everything up right now and put it all on the line." HC Marvin Lewis said he planned for this game "before the season and during the (Oct. 8) bye week." Practice schedules were tweaked in an attempt to keep players fresh. Read more
