Tauscher expected to start against Minnesota

The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports it's all systems go for Green Bay Packers right OT Mark Tauscher. After missing five games with a severe groin pull, Tauscher will return to the starting lineup Thursday night against Minnesota. It was in the last Minnesota game - Nov. 12 at the Metrodome - that a nagging groin injury turned serious and potentially season ending, but Tauscher refused to give up on the season and was given the green light to play again this week. Vikings sign WR Nance from practice squad

AP reports the Minnasota Vikings have signed WR Martin Nance from the practice squad. Nance caught 90 passes and 11 touchdowns from QB Ben Roethlisberger as a sophomore at Miami of Ohio in 2003. Read more

ClevelandBrowns.com reports the Browns have placed RB Jason Wright on Injured Reserve, signed LB Clifton Smith to the active roster and have signed RB Chris Barclay from the practice squad to the active roster, the club announced today. Read more

Crennel talks like he'll stick with Frye

The Akron-Beacon Journal reports public sentiment is off the charts. Fans and media believe backup QB Derek Anderson has done enough to earn more playing time in the Browns' two remaining games. Although a local outcry got Cleveland an expansion franchise in 1999 and saved GM Phil Savage's job last January, HC Romeo Crennel seems to be trying to put a lid on Anderson's coronation. Crennel remains loyal to injured starter Charlie Frye. Read more
