Mixed news on injury front for Ravens

The Baltimore Sun reports at a time when the Ravens' offense is getting healthy -- starting QB Steve McNair is expected to return Sunday -- their defense must deal with a major loss. DL Trevor Pryce is scheduled to miss three to five games after having surgery last night on his broken left wrist. A four-time Pro Bowl player, Pryce led the Ravens with 13 sacks last season and recorded his first sack in Sunday's 20-13 win over the New York Jets. "Trevor has meant a lot to us and it's great that he'll be back," HC Brian Billick said at his news conference today. Read more

The Dayton Daily News reports the Cincinnati Bengals should have gotten the message when WR Chad Johnson — their steal-the-stage receiver — jumped into the Dawg Pound Sunday after he scored a touchdown and promptly got doused with beer, had popcorn dumped on him and even got bopped by an oversized bone.
