Barring a setback in practice this week, QB Chad Pennington will start on Sunday against the Dolphins despite a promising performance by backup QB Kellen Clemens in the fourth quarter of the Jets' 20-13 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. 09/18/2007 7:00 PM The Star-Ledger reports Jets Pro Bowl kick returner Justin Miller suffered ligament damage in his right knee while returning a kickoff in Sunday's 20-13 loss to the Baltimore Ravens and is out for the season, according to a person with knowledge of the severity of the injury. That person spoke on the condition of anonymity because only the team is authorized to release official injury information. Read more

Leftwich agrees to terms with Falcons

09/18/2007 6:57 PM NFL.com wire reports the Atlanta Falcons agreed to terms on a two-year, $7 million contract with former Jacksonville starting QB Byron Leftwich, the NFL Network's Adam Schefter reported Tuesday. Schefter reports that the deal does not include a signing bonus, but does contain a $1.15 million roster bonus in the second year. It calls for a $2.35 million base salary this season and a $2.5 million base next season with a $1 million escalator clause. Read more
