ESPN.com reports HC Jon Gruden cringed at the thought of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers playing the rest of the season without RB Carnell "Cadillac" Williams and OT Luke Petitgout. "You lose a lot of skill," Gruden said Monday after revealing both players will undergo season-ending knee surgery this week. Read more

The Dayton Daily News reports TE Kellen Winslow ducked into the locker room briefly during Monday's media access period. The tight end was carrying a contraption that feeds and compresses ice-cold water to a pack fastened to his partially dislocated left shoulder. Playing with a harness on the shoulder in Sunday's 27-13 win over the Baltimore Ravens, Winslow caught a team-high four passes for 96 yards. Asked how he could even lift his arm with the harness on, the University of Miami product smiled and said, "I'm from the U. That's what we do." Read more

Ryan Tucker's back, but for how long?

The Dayton Daily News reports OL Ryan Tucker is back from his steroid suspension, but do the Browns want him? They have until Monday to make the call. "We'll check his condition and make a decision where he fits — or if he fits," HC Romeo Crennel said. Tucker, who has started at right tackle the past few seasons, probably won't be thrust into a meaningful role immediately. Not with the way the line has been playing. Even the less-heralded right side, consisting of OG Seth McKinney and OT Kevin Shaffer, has been solid. "I'm not even worried about it," said Tucker, who played right guard in preseason. "It's just good to be back in this building." Tucker said he listened to the games on the radio during his suspension and worked with a strength/speed coach. Read more
