Bucs eyeing Moore

Minnesota Vikings
10/03/2007 8:48 AM
The Pioneer Press reports after losing starting RB Cadillac Williams to a season-ending knee injury Sunday, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers inquired about Vikings third-string RB Mewelde Moore, according to a person close to the situation. Though a deal is not out of the question, the Bucs refused the Vikings' request for a first-day draft pick (one of the first three rounds). Stutz took over the long-snapping duties from Derek Rackley last season as a rookie in a cost-cutting move. Read more

Lewis calls team 'selfish

Cincinnati Bengals
10/03/2007 8:24 AM
The Dayton Daily News reports one word describes the scene in the Bengals locker room following their 34-13 loss to New England on Monday night: ugly. HC Marvin Lewis ripped his team in a profanity-laced tirade, then the national media piled on. Lewis called his players "selfish" after their mistake-filled performance, which was marked by a heated sideline exchange between QB Carson Palmer and WR Chad Johnson over a miscommunication on a pass play just before halftime. "Nowhere in the NFL do guys act like this!" Lewis screamed. "If you don't want to be on this football team, don't show up tomorrow." Read more
