When he dismissed brief thoughts of retirement last January, he hoped to avoid the familiar cycle of another lost season. "I don't want to go through another one," Taylor said this week. "(But) I'm here. I signed up for this. "This is what I love to do. Even though I hate the losing, it's part of it." This season, however, the failure comes with an unexpected twist. Arizona Cardinals 10/05/2007 10:18 AMThe Arizona Republic reports Cardinals HC Ken Whisenhunt stopped short Wednesday of saying a player who doesn't practice during the week won't play on Sunday, but made it clear he's not crazy about the idea. Two offensive starters, WR Anquan Boldin and right OT Levi Brown, didn't play Sunday and sat out Wednesday's practice. Boldin's hip injury is improving, as is Brown's ankle, but both are expected to be at least questionable for Sunday's game in St. Louis.Read more
Denver Broncos 10/05/2007 8:55 AMThe Denver Post reports Broncos star RB Travis Henry's NFL future is in legal limbo in New York. According to a report published by Newsday on Thursday night, Henry - the NFL's leading rusher - is suing the league to prevent it from using results of a drug test that could result in him being suspended from the league for a year. It may be a longshot for Henry to win his suit, but it may buy him time if the NFL is to suspend him. A recent test failure before Oct. 1 would be Henry's third, and would result in a one-year suspension without pay from the NFL.Read more
