Seattle Seahawks 10/15/2007 9:39 AMThe Seattle Times reports Seattle lost DT Chuck Darby to an injured right knee in the fourth quarter, and he could be out for a long time. The team was awaiting results from a MRI taken Sunday night. Darby was injured trying to tackle the Saints' RB Aaron Stecker on a screen pass. He remained on the turf after the play and had to be carted off, accepting handshakes and caring taps on the leg from teammates. Darby's loss could also hurt in the leadership department. A key part of the defensive line, the seven-year veteran is also thought of as one of the inspirational members of the defense.Read more
Minnesota Vikings 10/15/2007 9:35 AMThe Pioneer Press reports rookie RB Adrian Peterson may have been the Vikings' star, but veteran Chester Taylor also shined Sunday against the Chicago Bears. And, yes, his on-field performance surpassed the shiner on his eye. In his first public comments after his Wednesday fight with DE Erasmus James, Taylor insisted that the incident didn't affect his play, and he added that he and the defensive end have patched up their issues. "I'm cool," Taylor said. "It wasn't no big thing. It was just a misunderstanding. It was just two players who had a disagreement about something. But I mean, it wasn't nothing big. Asked if the week was a difficult one, Taylor said, "It wasn't difficult at all. "I'm a professional. I never let anything interfere with my job."Read more

Cleveland Browns 10/15/2007 9:28 AMThe Dayton Daily News reports RB Jason Wright could not be sure who said it. Might have been C Hank Fraley. Or WR Braylon Edwards. Or the quarterback, Derek Anderson. The winless Miami Dolphins had just scored deep in the third quarter Sunday afternoon to pull within 27-24, bringing a hush over Cleveland Browns Stadium. As the Cleveland Browns went back on offense, "Somebody said we have to fight for this win," Wright remembered. And that's what they did, finishing as strong as they started in a 41-31 victory and squaring their record at 3-3 heading into the bye week. Anderson threw three touchdown passes to Edwards, two in the fourth quarter after all but three points of a 27-10 halftime lead had been frittered away.Read more
