Taylor injury not serious

The Florida Times-Union reports RB Fred Taylor had his best rushing output of the season (90 yards, six carries), with almost all of it in the first half, including a 76-yard run on his first carry. He participated in just two second-half plays. "I'm good," Taylor said after the game. "Coming out at halftime, my legs just locked up in the adductor area [of the groin], both sides. For the whole third quarter, they were locked up. When I finally got them to loosen up for me, it was a given that we were gonna win the game. So it didn't make any sense to get back in there." DB benching doesn't help

The Chicago Sun-Times reports whether it was his fractured right hand or simply performance, veteran S Adam Archuleta -- who starred on HC Lovie Smith's defenses in St. Louis -- was benched at halftime of the Bears' loss to the Vikings on Sunday. The move didn't do anything to shore up the defense on a record-setting day for Minnesota RB Adrian Peterson, who gained 224 yards on 20 carries in virtually wrapping up offensive rookie of the year honors in Week 6. Smith indicated Archuleta was having trouble with his hand, which is in a cast, but Archuleta said he's close to being 100 percent. Read more

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports TE Bubba Franks was walking around the locker room after the game, despite what looked like a potentially serious knee injury. He wasn't available for comment and HC Mike McCarthy said he didn't know the extent of the injury. Read more
