Now they have what could be their quarterback of the future and, amazingly enough, it's not necessarily QB Brady Quinn. In case you've been away, or mourning the demise of the Bengals, the Browns are averaging 32 points per game in the five games quarterback Derek Anderson has started. Houston Texans 10/15/2007 9:59 AMThe Houston Chronicle reports WR Kevin Walter had a career day against the Jaguars. The five-year veteran had a career-long reception of 46 yards, a career-high 12 receptions and the first 100-yard receiving day of his career. His 160 receiving yards made for the second-best day for a receiver in Texans history. His 330 receiving yards for the season are a career high. "He's a man," HC Gary Kubiak said. "No matter where we play, who we play, Kevin Walter is going to show up, play his tail off, make every tough play, block. Tampa Bay Buccaneers 10/15/2007 9:53 AMThe Florida Times-Union reports during the pregame show, CBS analyst Charlie Casserly said the Jaguars are seeking a third-round pick for backup RB LaBrandon Toefield, who was inactive again Sunday. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers inquired about Toefield, but they are reluctant to give up anything more than a fifth-round pick. The NFL trade deadline is Tuesday.Read more
