Bryant turned himself in Monday afternoon to police in the southern Dallas suburb of DeSoto. Seattle Seahawks 07/17/2012 11:20 AMThe Mercury News reports NFL star and former Oakland Tech and Cal football player Marshawn Lynch was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence Saturday and taken to Santa Rita Jail, according to the California Highway Patrol. Lynch, 26, who plays for the Seattle Seahawks, was arrested after a traffic stop on Interstate 880 in Oakland, according to CHP spokesman Hector Baiza. Read more

Chicago Bears 07/16/2012 2:51 PMESPN.com reports the Chicago Bears and running back Matt Forte have agreed to terms on a four-year contract worth roughly $32 million, a league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter. The Bears had placed their franchise tag on Forte in March and the sides had until 4 p.m. ET on Monday to reach an agreement. Without a long-term deal, the Pro Bowl running back would have had to play the 2012 season under the $7.749 million tender or sit out the season. Read more
