Marshall arrested

AP reports Denver Broncos WR Brandon Marshall was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence early Monday. Marshall was pulled over in downtown Denver shortly after 2 a.m., police Lt. Ron Saunier said. His arrest came hours after the Broncos defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers 31-28 in Denver. Marshall was issued a summons and was released. Read more

Dolphins' Brown done for year with knee injury

AP reports things went from bad to worse for the Miami Dolphins, who lost RB Ronnie Brown for the rest of the season because of a knee injury. Brown will need surgery to repair a torn ACL, HC Cam Cameron said Monday. He twisted his right knee in the third quarter of the Dolphins' 49-28 loss to the New England Patriots on Sunday. Read more

The Star-Ledger reports C Nick Mangold said it was a miscommunication that led to a bad snap out of the shotgun formation in the fourth quarter. QB Chad Pennington was looking to his left when Mangold snapped the ball. Bengals DT Domata Peko recovered at the 50-yard line and the Bengals drove for a TD that put them ahead 31-23 with 6:09 left to play. Read more

Big play doesn't ease Taylor's rough season

The Palm Beach Post reports DE Jason Taylor sure looked happy when he glided across the goal line Sunday, leaping like Michael Jordan and waving the ball in the air after intercepting Patriots backup QB Matt Cassel and taking it 36 yards for a touchdown. Taylor's return, which closed the Dolphins' deficit to 21 points with 10:30 left, gave him eight touchdowns in his 11-year career, setting an NFL record for touchdowns by a defensive lineman. His interception was the seventh of his career, passing Kim Bokamper for the most in team history by a defensive lineman. Read more
