Dolphins' Brown done for year with knee injury
Miami Dolphins10/22/2007 8:31 PM AP reports things went from bad to worse for the Miami Dolphins, who lost RB Ronnie Brown for the rest of the season because of a knee injury. Brown will need surgery to repair a torn ACL, HC Cam Cameron said Monday. He twisted his right knee in the third quarter of the Dolphins' 49-28 loss to the New England Patriots on Sunday. Read more

New York Jets10/22/2007 9:57 AM The Star-Ledger reports C Nick Mangold said it was a miscommunication that led to a bad snap out of the shotgun formation in the fourth quarter. QB Chad Pennington was looking to his left when Mangold snapped the ball. Bengals DT Domata Peko recovered at the 50-yard line and the Bengals drove for a TD that put them ahead 31-23 with 6:09 left to play. Read more
