Thomas sidelined for Giants' game

The Palm Beach Post reports LB Zach Thomas returned from Pittsburgh on Thursday morning with doctor's orders to sit out Sunday's game in London against the New York Giants. Thomas had visited a specialist at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center after suffering whiplash in a car accident following Sunday's loss to New England. Read more

The Dayton Daily News reports WR Chad Johnson did not practice Thursday because of lingering soreness from a sprained ankle. Also not practicing were RB Rudi Johnson (hamstring), WR Antonio Chatman (hamstring) and LB Caleb Miller (back). Left OT Willie Anderson (knee) and middle LB Ahmad Brooks (groin) are out. Read more

Pollack noncommittal on return to playing

The Dayton Daily News reports while Bengals LB David Pollack rehabs from a potentially career-ending neck injury, he's moonlighting as a college football analyst for CSTV. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution caught up with Pollack, who will be at Alltell Stadium in Jacksonville for the Georgia-Florida game on Saturday. Pollack was noncommittal about his NFL future. Winslow's knee still bothers him

The Dayton Daily News reports the bye week gave Browns TE Kellen Winslow a chance to rest his partially dislocated left shoulder. Now, if only his knee didn't hurt so much. "My shoulder feels good. It feels a lot better," Winslow said Thursday as the Browns stepped up preparations for Sunday's game in St. Louis. "It's my knee, man. It still hurts a lot." Read more
