Linebackers added, one for long snapper

The Nashville Tennessean reports the Titans on Tuesday signed free agent LB Jeremy Cain, who'll take over the long-snapping duties for injured Ken Amato. The team also agreed to terms with former Chiefs LB Rich Scanlon. Cain was signed to the Titans' practice squad earlier this month, but his contract was terminated last Friday. He worked out for team officials on Tuesday and was signed to the active roster. Cain played previously with the Eagles and Bears in the NFL, and played in college at Massachusetts. Read more

Jaguars' McDaniel to be placed on IR

The Florida Times-Union reports the Jaguars likely will place DT Tony McDaniel on injured reserve sometime today, according to coach Jack Del Rio. A second-year pro, McDaniel sustained a wrist injury against the Indianapolis Colts last week and will be sidelined for the rest of the season. Prior to that, McDaniel was hampered by a knee injury sustained in the third preseason game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Read more

Little, Incognito will see specialists

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports DE Leonard Little was in Charlotte, N.C., on Tuesday to see Dr. Robert Anderson for an examination of the torn ligament in his left big toe. Little will need surgery, but he wanted Anderson's opinion as to whether he could wait until after the season. OG Richie Incognito, who left Sunday's game against Cleveland after partially dislocating his right kneecap, will be in Birmingham, Ala., later this week to consult with see Dr. James Andrews. Incognito will have arthroscopic surgery, and then his availability for the rest of the season will be determined. Read more
