Williams calls Bly 'a no-hitter'

The Detroit Free Press reports CB Dré Bly should forget about the bulletin board this week. If the Denver Broncos cornerback wants to post the remarks Lions WR Roy Williams made about him Thursday, he might need the entire wall. Williams had some fun Thursday, describing Bly as a tackle-challenged cornerback. "Dré is not a hitter, period," Williams said with a smile. "Dré is a no-hitter. Isn't that a term in baseball, a no-hitter? He's a no-hitter." Read more

The Star-Telegram reports Cowboys WR Terrell Owens returns to Philadelphia on Sunday with much less bitterness than a year ago. Inside his locker room and the Eagles' locker room. Owens has kissed and made up with Eagles QB Donovan McNabb. It was Owens who made a point to seek out McNabb at the Super Bowl in Miami in February and attempt to make amends for his part in the friction between the two during their final season together in Philadelphia in 2005. Falcons add more depth to defensive line

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports the Falcons signed NT Tim Anderson on Thursday to add some depth to their depleted defensive line. Anderson was added after DL Montavious Stanley suffered an injury Wednesday when his knee slammed into another player's knee in a pile-up. With Stanley's status uncertain and the recent release of DT Grady Jackson, the Falcons needed depth along the defensive line. CB Brent Grimes was released to make room for Anderson, a four-year veteran and a third-round draft pick (74th overall) of the Buffalo Bills in 2004. Read more
