Henry wants to get back in end zone

The Dayton Daily News reports fresh off an eight-game suspension for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy, Cincinnati Bengals WR Chris Henry met the media on Wednesday for the first time this season. One ground rule: Henry would answer only football-related questions. That's because he got into a confrontation with a parking attendant at Newport on the Levee over a $5 parking fee on Tuesday night. The attendant told police that Henry and another man parked their sport utility vehicle without paying. Bengals add Henry to roster

BigCProfootball.com reports the Cincinnati Bengals add reinstated WR Chris Henry to the roster. Henry was suspended by the NFL for Games 1-8, due to violations of league policies, but he is eligible to return to play this Sunday at Baltimore. The team also waived second-year WR Skyler Green. Peterson running wild

The Pioneer Press reports the San Diego Chargers' seventh-ranked run defense bottled up RB Adrian Peterson, the NFL's leading rusher, in the first half. But Peterson, held to 43 yards in the first half, humbled the Chargers with a dominant second half en route to an NFL-record 296 rushing yards. "It was tough," Chargers linebacker Stephen Cooper said. "Once they got the momentum up front, the offensive line played very well throughout the game, (and) they made sure Adrian had room to run. And after Adrian hit those holes, it was off to the races." Peterson's three scores were all essential. His second tied the score early in the third quarter, and his third punctuated the Vikings' stunning upset of the favored Chargers. Read more
