Atlanta Falcons 11/14/2007 8:25 AMThe Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports Falcons rookie TE Martrez Milner, a fourth-round draft pick from Georgia, was placed on injured reserve Monday night with an undisclosed ankle injury sustained in Sunday's 20-13 victory at Carolina. By being placed on IR, Milner won't play for the rest of the season. Atlanta claimed former Detroit TE Courtney Anderson off waivers to replace Milner, the No. 3 tight end.Read more
Kansas City Chiefs 11/14/2007 8:23 AMThe Kansas City Star reports the Chiefs stopped the suspense about RB Larry Johnson before it could get started this week. The club declared Johnson out for Sundayâs game at Indianapolis because of a sprained right foot. The Chiefs said the swelling continues to decrease but did not say whether the foot was broken. Johnson, who missed last Sundayâs loss to Denver, is undergoing treatments twice a day, according to the team.Read more
Oakland Raiders 11/14/2007 8:21 AMThe San Francisco Chronicle reports for all this debate about who the Raiders' quarterback should be, QB Andrew Walter might as well be bathed in invisible ink - as if he's not even there after less than three seasons. "The writing is on the wall," Walter said Monday. He's right, and it says Walter is miles removed from the playing field with no way to change it. He hasn't been on the game-day active list in two weeks and has been replaced by Russell as the No. 3 emergency quarterback. Coach Lane Kiffin has stuck with Josh McCown as his starter when healthy, though the coach said that could change this week. Daunte Culpepper was first off the bench when McCown broke his toe in September, and likely would be again if McCown's bruised thigh is serious.Read more
St. Louis Rams 11/14/2007 8:15 AMThe St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports TE Aaron Walker (shoulder) was placed on the injured reserve list Tuesday. OT Mark LeVoir was signed off Chicago's practice squad to replace Walker on the Rams' 53-man roster. LeVoir also spent the 2006 season on the Bears' practice squad after signing with Chicago as an undrafted free agent out of Notre Dame.Read more
