Bengals claim Manning

11/14/2007 8:54 AM BigCProfootball.com reports the Cincinnati Bengals have acquired LB Roy Manning on waivers from Jacksonville. Manning (6-2, 245; Michigan) is a third-year NFL player. He has 16 games of NFL experience, 15 of those in 2005 with the Green Bay Packers, who originally signed him as a college free agent. The team also placed LB Caleb Miller on the Reserve/Injured list. Miller has been inactive for the last six games, due to a back injury suffered Sept. 23 at Seattle. Read more

Clark, Tuman placed on IR

11/14/2007 8:30 AM The Post-Gazette reports the Steelers have placed S Ryan Clark and TE Jerame Tuman on injured reserve, ending their seasons. Clark has an inflamed spleen that was discovered after he played Oct. 21 at Denver. Tuman has had a disc problem in his back and has not played in three of the past four games. Clark was the starting free safety before his condition was discovered. Anthony Smith replaced him as the starter the past three games. Tuman was the team's No. 3 tight end. Read more

Lemon expects to start at Philly

11/14/2007 8:27 AM The Palm Beach Post reports QB Cleo Lemon expects to remain the Dolphins' starting quarterback Sunday in Philadelphia but knows that rookie QB John Beck could play in relief, a source close to the team said Tuesday. Coach Cam Cameron met with his quarterbacks Tuesday and made it clear that Beck should be ready for his first game action if Lemon and the Dolphins struggle. Read more
