Pittsburgh Steelers 11/17/2007 9:09 AMThe Post-Gazette reports scratch rookie LB LaMarr Woodley and his balky hamstring, but the rest of the ailing Steelers practiced yesterday and were deemed healthy enough to play the New York Jets tomorrow. Woodley was the only wounded player to miss practice, his third consecutive absence. FB Dan Kreider missed yesterday for personal reasons, but he is expected to rejoin the Steelers and be available for the 4:05 p.m. game in Giants Stadium. RB Willie Parker (groin) and LB Andre Frazier (hip) practiced and were listed as probable, although both are expected to play.Read more

Seattle Seahawks 11/17/2007 8:57 AMThe Seattle Times reports RB Shaun Alexander needs a normal week of practice before he can play again, Seahawks coach Mike Holmgren said Friday. And because he missed all three days this week, Alexander will miss his second consecutive game because of a sprained knee. "I'm not going to put him on the field until he can do what he does," Holmgren said. "And so he appreciated that. We had a good talk." When Alexander is healthy, he'll be the starting running back again, Holmgren said earlier in the week. That quelled any thoughts of a controversy at the position.
