The Steelers have a perfect 7-0 record at home and in Ohio, yet everywhere else they are 0-3. Their surprising 19-16 loss to the New York Jets was their third on the road against teams that do not have winning records. Why the problems on the road? "I don't know," OG Alan Faneca said. Cincinnati Bengals 11/19/2007 8:09 AMThe Dayton Daily News reports it was all cheers in the Arizona Cardinals locker room after their 35-27 win over the struggling Cincinnati Bengals. The Cardinals offense ate the Bengals defense up with short underneath passes and four Carson Palmer interceptions, two of which was returned for touchdowns by CB Antrel Rolle, who had three picks in the game, helped seal the deal for the victory. In the Cards' locker room, no player was happier than K Neil Rackers a former Bengal. When asked how he felt about being back in Cincinnati playing against his old team it was no holds barred for the kicker.Read more
Cincinnati Bengals 11/19/2007 8:06 AMThe Dayton Daily News reports the Bengals needed a big play and got it from an unlikely source. Seldom-used RB DeDe Dorsey turned hero when he pulled off a dramatic special teams play at 3:29 of the third quarter in Cincinnati's 35-27 loss to Arizona. The 5-foot-11, 196-pounder blew in from the left edge and blocked a punt by Arizona's Mike Barr, then scooped up the ball and raced 19 yards for a touchdown that drew the Bengals within 28-27.The last time a Bengal scored on a blocked punt came on Nov. 19, 1989, against Detroit when Barney Bussey recovered the ball in the end zone after Eric Thomas stuffed Jim Arnold's punt.Read more
Cleveland Browns 11/19/2007 8:03 AMAP reports the Baltimore Ravens ran off the field, celebrating a comeback victory. While their fans gleefully headed toward the exits, many of the Cleveland Browns shrugged on their way toward the tunnel. No one could have imagined Cleveland would end up winning 33-30 in overtime Sunday. K Phil Dawson's potential game-tying 51-yard field goal hit the upright, then seemingly tapped the crossbar before bouncing back onto the field. As the stadium emptied at the end of regulation and the Ravens pumped their fists in the air, several of the Browns insisted that Dawson's kick hit the curved center support behind the crossbar. Many of the players gathered in the end zone, pointing at the spot where the football struck before bouncing back.Read more
