Tennessee Titans 11/20/2007 9:31 AMThe Nashville Tennessean reports Titans officials are investigating an apparent altercation between suspended CB Pacman Jones and DT Albert Haynesworth this past weekend, Coach Jeff Fisher confirmed Monday night. "I am looking into it right now, but I am not going to comment,'' Fisher said after the Titans lost 34-20 to the Broncos. "We will look into it more (today).'' Haynesworth made the trip to Denver but was inactive for the game because of a hamstring injury. It's unclear where in Nashville the altercation took place. Metro police spokesman Don Aaron, in Denver on Monday night, said police did not have record of an incident involving the two players and no Titans players had been arrested. He was traveling to Birmingham, Ala., to get a second opinion on his shoulder from esteemed sports orthopedist James Andrews. He was going outside the 49ers organization for help. This is one more sign of the growing divide between the team and its one-time franchise quarterback. When asked Monday about the comments made by Smith's agent, Tom Condon, that Smith's forearm problems are a result of overzealous training, Coach Mike Nolan smirked. Minnesota Vikings 11/20/2007 8:17 AMThe Pioneer Press reports RB Adrian Peterson hasn't been ruled out of Sunday's game against the Giants in New York, but the Vikings' No. 1 draft choice isn't expected back this week. "I'd say it's a long shot right now to get back there, but we'll see," coach Brad Childress said Monday. "He's surprised me before." Peterson tore the lateral collateral ligament in his right knee in a Nov. 11 loss at Green Bay and sat out Sunday's 29-22 victory over Oakland. The NFL's leading rusher did some running on an underwater treadmill Monday, but he isn't expected back in a game until Dec. 2 against Detroit, at the earliest.Read more
