Dallas Cowboys 11/22/2007 8:52 AMThe Star-Telegram reports WR Terry Glenn might have made his first real step toward returning Wednesday. While his teammates practiced at the Cowboys indoor facility, he walked out to one of the outdoor fields with a team trainer. He's been running for a few days, and the Cowboys hope these are the first steps to building his leg strength back so he can return. In his place, WR Patrick Crayton has started. But his status is uncertain for Thursday's game after he suffered a sprained left ankle during a punt return in the first quarter against the Washington Redskins on Sunday. He said he will be a game-time decision.Read more
Green Bay Packers 11/22/2007 8:46 AMThe Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports the Packers' short and light walk through during practice on Wednesday morning was enough to convince Packers coach Mike McCarthy that several key players are healthy enough to be listed probable for the Detroit game: RB Ryan Grant (ankle); Mark Tauscher (ankle); Chad Clifton (knee); Koren Robinson (knee); Charles Woodson (hip) and Tracy White (ankle). Miami Dolphins 11/22/2007 8:40 AMThe Palm Beach Post reports much has happened since RB Ricky Williams last walked onto the Dolphins practice field nearly two years ago. One thing hasn't changed. "He didn't look very rusty, did he? Not to me," OT L.J. Shelton said with a hint of amazement in his voice. "To come back from a layoff like that and look like he belonged is a credit to him." Wearing his familiar No. 34 jersey and running with the ease and effectiveness of a one-time NFL rushing leader, Williams practiced Wednesday for the first time since the team welcomed him back from an 18-month suspension for violating the NFL's substance-abuse policy. Williams, 30, has played in only 12 NFL games since 2003 and practiced once since his return, but teammates said he looks like he'll be able to ignite the 0-10 Dolphins as soon as he is given a chance. "He can come out there and do what he wants," rookie WR Ted Ginn Jr. said. "It didn't look like he lost a step at all."Read more
