San Francisco 49ers 11/28/2007 3:26 AMThe San Francisco Chronicle reports according to information provided by the league to the 49ers, rookie LB Patrick Willis made more tackles in Sunday's game, 18, than any 49er since 1994, when tackles became an official statistic kept by the NFL. Jamie Winborn had 16 stops in a 2002 game against the New York Giants, and LB Ken Norton Jr. made 15 in a 1998 game against New England. Willis leads the NFL in tackles with 110 (83 solo, 27 assisted), according to NFL.com. That's 11 more than Baltimore's LB Ray Lewis.Read more
Denver Broncos 11/28/2007 3:23 AMThe Denver Post reports DE Jarvis Moss has begun his rehabilitation program, and the 2007 first-round draft pick has no doubts he will be able to get an early start on having a better second season with the Broncos. "I don't know if this is going faster than expected, but it's going very well," Moss said. "We have a good timetable on this and I will be ready to go early in (2008). I will be full-go way before the offseason program starts." Moss suffered a fractured right fibula and tore some tendons near the ankle during a practice drill Nov. 1. He had surgery the next week and has about two to three months to go in his rehabilitation.Read more

The Pats yesterday activated the 15-year veteran wide receiver from the physically unable to perform list, giving him a chance to win a fourth Super Bowl in what could be his final season. To make room for Brown, the Pats released rookie DL Kareem Brown, whom they will presumably try to re-sign to the practice squad. Troy Brown return had been considered touch-and-go right up until late yesterday, when the Patriots informed him that he would be activated.Read more
