New Orleans Saints 12/22/2007 8:53 AMThe Times-Picayune reports WR Marques Colston has been placed on the Saints' first official injury report with a sore back, but he's listed as "probable" for Sunday's game against the Philadelphia Eagles at the Superdome. Colston did not participate in Friday's practice. RB Reggie Bush (knee) and TE Eric Johnson (groin) also did not practice Friday. Bush is listed as "questionable," and his availability Sunday will be a game-time decision, according to Coach Sean Payton. Johnson is "doubtful" for the game.Read more
Houston Texans 12/22/2007 8:49 AMThe Houston Chronicle reports Texans coach Gary Kubiak is leaning toward having Matt Schaub active in Indianapolis on Sunday, but only as the third quarterback. Shane Boyd would come in first if Sage Rosenfels needs relief. Kansas City Chiefs 12/22/2007 8:46 AMThe Kansas City Star reports two of the Chiefs’ most explosive weapons will not play Sunday at the Detroit Lions, coach Herm Edwards said Friday. As expected, RB Larry Johnson’s lingering foot injury will prevent him from returning after he missed the last six games. Edwards said Thursday that Johnson was doubtful after he appeared to reinjure his right foot Wednesday, his first day participating in team practice since he broke a bone in the foot Nov. 4. WR Eddie Kennison, who hurt his ribs and shoulder last week in a loss against the Tennessee Titans, also will not play. Kennison has 13 catches for 101 yards this season.Read more
