Atlanta Falcons
12/27/2007 6:25 AM
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports the numbers suggest that for Falcons RB Warrick Dunn, the end of his career could be close. In just one game during this 3-12 season has Dunn, one of the NFL's leading rushers over the previous three seasons, reached 100 yards. He didn't surpass it. He just got there. Dunn, 32, said don't be fooled by this "wasted" season. He can still play at a high level and he plans to come back for at least one more season to prove it. "You know things are going to change." A few stalls over from Liwienski's is where Pro Bowl DE Jason Taylor sits. At least for now. Read more

The Dayton Daily News reports we turn our attention now to the heavyweight rematch between Bengals OT Levi Jones and Miami Dolphins outside LB Joey Porter. The two NFL players brawled at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas on March 19, and, at some point on Sunday, Jones will block Porter when their teams collide in the season finale at Dolphin Stadium. A video surveillance tape of the incident showed Porter and several men in his entourage attack Jones. Porter pleaded no contest in court to a misdemeanor battery charge and paid a $1,000 fine. Porter was later fined three game checks — $141,176 — by the NFL for his role in the fight. Which brings us to Sunday. Read more

Quinn still waiting for his chance

Cleveland Browns
12/27/2007 6:18 AM
The Dayton Daily News reports is this the week rookie QB Brady Quinn gets in a game? He hopes so. Then again, he always hopes so. "I'm a quarterback," Quinn said Wednesday. "Every second of the game, you're always wishing you were playing. This game is no different than any other." With the Browns' regular-season finale against the San Francisco 49ers just about meaningless in any way that affects the playoffs, Quinn supporters think now would be a good time to see what the first-round draft pick from Notre Dame can do. Head coach Romeo Crennel says he'll wait to see how the game goes. Read more
