Jacksonville Jaguars 12/30/2007 11:14 AMThe Florida Times-Union reports Jaguars OT Stockar McDougle, who has missed the 2007 season with an injury, was charged with felony battery on Friday in Fort Lauderdale, according to the Broward Sheriff's Office. McDougle, 30, was involved in a shoving match with the owner and bookkeeper at a plant nursery over an unpaid five-year-old debt. According to Miami television station WPLG, McDougle argued with business owner Quilone Mitchell, who claimed McDougle owed him interest over a bounced $1,200 check from 2002.Read more
Houston Texans 12/30/2007 11:14 AMThe Houston Chronicle reports a lot of Texans fans are suggesting the team trade QB Sage Rosenfels for a second-round draft choice, but it's not going to happen. Going into today's game against the Jaguars, the Texans are set at quarterback for next season. QB Matt Schaub is the starter and Rosenfels the backup. GM Rick Smith and coach Gary Kubiak would love to acquire a second-round pick, but it won't be for Rosenfels, who has two years left on his contract and has done a terrific job replacing the injured Schaub.Read more
St. Louis Rams 12/30/2007 11:13 AMThe St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports RB Steven Jackson needs 53 yards to reach 1,000 yards rushing, no mean feat considering he missed four games with a groin injury and most of a fifth with a back problem. That would make it three straight 1,000-yard rushing seasons for Jackson. Only Marshall Faulk (1999-01) and Eric Dickerson have done that in Rams history.Read more
