Titans want Haynesworth bonus money
Tennessee Titans10/07/2006 9:47 AM The Nashville Tennessean reports the Titans are attempting to recoup part of suspended DT Albert Haynesworth's bonus money, claiming he is in default of his contract by missing time with the team. The Titans gave written notification to Haynesworth's agent, Chad Speck, and the NFL Players Association received a copy of the letter. "It's standard business in the NFL," Speck said. "Albert was aware that it would happen. We're expecting another notice that details the amount the team is seeking.'' The NFL suspended Haynes-worth for five games on Monday for deliberately stepping on the helmetless head of Cowboys C Andre Gurode during Sunday's game at LP Field. Read more
